What our calculators are for

Measurely calculators turn your measurements into material quantities and budget ranges: cubic yards of concrete, gallons of paint, board feet of lumber. They are built to help you plan, budget, compare options, and order materials with confidence. The arithmetic is tested; the assumptions behind each tool are stated on its page.

What they are not

They are not structural analysis, not HVAC system design, not stair or roofing code verification, and not a permit application. Building codes, frost lines, wind and snow loads, electrical rules, and permit requirements vary by city, county, and country — no online calculator can account for all of them.

HVAC, stairs, roofing, and structural work

These categories deserve extra caution. An undersized heater, a non-compliant staircase, or a wrongly spanned beam can be dangerous and expensive. Use our tools in these areas to understand the scale of a project and to have an informed conversation with a contractor — then have a licensed professional design, size, and sign off on the work.

Verify before you buy or build

Always double-check critical numbers against a second source, confirm material specifications with your supplier, and follow manufacturer instructions and local codes. If a result looks surprising, re-measure first — input errors are the most common source of wrong outputs.
